Old buildings

Old buildings have quaint atmosphere
That attracts and scarred at the same time.
Maybe they will collapse first
Or we will!
Who knows?
.
I also love visiting old buildings,
They emanate a special scent
That resonates petrichor and dusty door,
Waiting to be smelled.
.
I could write no more about the withering weeds,
The cracked up walls,
The creaky doors,
The peeled paint that won't fly far.
.
These things are meant to be witnessed,
Through eyes and enchanted sense.
.
Heritage sites don't count as one,
Because for becoming this,
They have to be unknown, unidentified and trodden upon,
Not just by humans or beasts,
But by Time's tread.
