Even today.

Even today//
.
Even today,
She waits in that crooked shop,
Selling containers to various people
Who stop.
.
Years have passed but he never came,
Promised her to wait, he was soon to board the train.
The last call, she remembers vividly, was the full on commentary of the world's dilly dally.
.
She always used to go to sit on this shop,
But he always used to chide her, and asked her to stop.
.
'I have more than enough, you don't need to work. What will happen to what I earned, when you won't stop doing all that errand?'
.
'Don't ask me to stop, son, you might have earned all those funds, but the real treasure for me are these empty vessels who filled my purse and fed you when we had none.'
.
The common conversation over phone
Began over this and ended there as well.
.
They both loved the store,
And somehow it meant the way of expressing their emotions.
.
Tears welled up in her eyes, as those memories flashed,
That name hasn't showed up on her phone screen since that train crash.
