The words escape

 the words escape

the mundanity of the meaning quite visible

yet the efforts to sustain 

the meaning with the pliers

makes me want to cave in to 

the superfluous efforts of my critics

but some small part of my soul

wants to shower upon them

the superfluous and embellishing thoughts

which cower behind the shadows of my existence

trying to escape the sunlight of the recognition

because what is visible to the world 

belongs no more to me alone

and thus

I revel in the dilemma of secrecy and distinction

while the passions beneath those thoughts continue to flourish.
